Tim is an experienced educator and curriculum developer with a 20-year career spanning various roles in education, focusing on fostering student civic knowledge, engagement, and empowerment. In addition to designing curriculum for EdEthics/Justice in Schools, he currently teaches high school civics and social studies in North Providence, RI, and serves as a mentor and teaching coach for Brown University’s MAT program. Over the years, Tim has designed and implemented civics and social studies curricula for diverse student populations, ranging from therapeutic settings to advanced placement classrooms. His leadership experiences include serving as Department Chair, leading school-wide initiatives as a member of a school leadership team, developing and implementing professional development, serving as a teaching coach and mentor, spearheading digital teaching strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic, promoting culturally responsive teaching and restorative justice practices, and serving as a Teacher Liaison for RI Secretary of State Greg Amore’s Student Civic Liaison program. Tim holds a Master's in Teaching from the University of Rhode Island and is currently pursuing a Master's in Educational Leadership at Providence College.
