Ryan Jung
Ryan Jung is an undergraduate at Harvard College concentrating in social studies and philosophy with a secondary in educational studies. He is interested in the intersection of political theory and philosophy of education, especially how curriculum can be designed to advance societal justice. Currently, he is working on projects studying pre-college philosophy education’s potential to address hermeneutical injustice and university stakeholders’ differing attitudes on academic freedom and campus speech. On campus, he is an undergraduate fellow at the Safra Center for Ethics, leads an organization that trains undergraduates to teach civics to fifth-graders in the Greater Boston area, chairs a political theory reading group, and spearheads programming for philosophy for children at the College. Before coming to Harvard, he designed and launched his high school’s introductory philosophy course.
