Nicolás Riveros

Nicolás is a Ph.D. student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE). He has participated in a wide range of educational projects in Latin America, the Caribbean, and the United States. Before his doctoral studies, he worked as Technical Adviser for the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), and in various leadership positions for the popular education movement Fe y Alegría. In his research, Nicolás uses a mixed methods approach to study child and youth political socialization processes. He has a particular interest in describing and understanding the interpersonal and relational dynamics involved in civic and citizenship learning. Nicolás holds a B.A and Master’s in political science from Universidad de los Andes, as well as an Ed.M. in International Education Policy from HGSE.
